A Deer Park man won $1M in the New York lottery
A Deer Park man is feeling like a million bucks this fall after winning the New York Lottery in the summer.
Carlos Moran, Jr. is related to Carlos Moran, After Uncle Sam got its share of the $1 million prize for matching the first five numbers, he took a lump sum payment of $651,000.
Moran said his luck in matching the picked numbers in the June 13 Powerball drawing was a blessing. 25 was the number chosen in that drawing. In late August, the New York Lottery announced that Moran had won a prize.
The place where the winning ticket was purchased is Deer Hills Service. The park is located in Deer Park.
