A Lottery player thought friends were messing with him, but Michigan prize was the real deal.

Have you ever thought that something is too good to be true? Is it possible that someone is pulling a prank on you? According to Michigan Lottery officials, a lottery player who chose to remain anonymous felt that way when he opened his email to learn that he had won a $100,000 prize.

The man told officials that he thought it was a trick from his college friends. The lucky 59-year-old won in the Sept. 28 drawing for the Michigan Lottery’s $300,000,000 Diamond Riches Second Chance game.

He entered by scanning non-winning tickets in the Michigan lottery app. He was skeptical after talking to someone at the lottery, but now he knows that it is real.

The winner said he plans to use his prize money to save. “I’ve been playing the lottery for a long time and have won some small prizes, but you never think it will be you who wins the big one,” the winner said.

I have dreamed about what this would be like but never imagined it would be a reality. Ingham County is 80 miles west of Detroit.
