Fire, building collapse injures 20 people in Iraq’s capital
At least 20 people have been injured, including the head of Iraq’s civil defense directorate, after a commercial building collapsed in Baghdad.
The civil defense director in Iraq says that people must have
the right to life.
Gen. Kadhim Bohan along with a number of firefighters was at the scene when the building they were in was engulfed in flames.
No deaths were reported, but no information was available on the cause of the fire.
On Oct. 29, a gas tanker exploded near a soccer field in northeastern Baghdad, killing at least nine people and wounding 10 others.
The committee investigating the explosion determined that it was an accident.
