‘I’m just amazed’: A Louisville man won $500,000 in a Kentucky lottery scratch-off.
A Louisville man turned $60 into $500,000 after buying a winning Kentucky lottery ticket.
The man who wanted to remain anonymous bought three scratch-off tickets at the Circle K on Mud Lane while on his break.
The man told lottery officials that he didn’t normally buy $20 tickets, but that he had a little extra money.
The man scratched off his “$2,000 Loaded!” ticket and discovered that he had won two million dollars to five million dollars.
The man said, “I scratched off the fourth number and saw another 5X for $10,000, another $50,000 prize, and I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m at one hundred and four thousand dollars.
He scratched off the rest of the ticket with his wife, who also works at the same location. He found out he won $500,000 when he was there.
He said to lottery officials that they just couldn’t believe it.
The man shared the news with his family immediately.
He went to another store and scanned the ticket, which said, ”You won $500,000, see KLC Corp” on the screen.
The prize was claimed by his grandmother with him at the Kentucky lottery headquarters.
He said that he was amazed that this would ever be him.
After taxes, the man received a check for $355,000, according to the Kentucky Lottery. A $5,000 bonus will be given to the Circle K that sold the winning ticket.
