Ryan Serhant is an American actor, real estate agent, reality star and author who has a net worth of $30 million. Serhant appeared in 19 episodes of the popular soap opera “As the World Turns” as Evan Walsh from 2007 to 2008. He was ranked the 15th most successful real estate broker in New York by “The Real Deal” magazine in 2012 after he shifted his focus to real estate. Ryan started starring on “Million Dollar Listing New York” in 2012 and the network gave him a spinoff called “Sell it Like Serhant” in the year that he founded Serhant Media Group. His real estate sales course, “Sell It Like Serhant: The Course”, was earning more than $100,000 a day when it was launched, making it the most commercially successful real estate course of all time. Ryan has published two books, “Sell It Like Serhant: How to Sell More, earn More, and Become the Ultimate Sales Machine” and “Big Money Energy”, after opening his own real estate firm in 2020.
Early Life:
Ryan Matthew Serhant was born in Houston, Texas, on July 2, 1984. The Vice Chairman of State Street Global Advisors paid Ryan and Jack $1.50 an hour to collect firewood and then let them sell it to their neighbors, in order to teach Ryan and Jack the importance of hard work. Serhant attended the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, while he was a student at the Pingree School. After graduating from Hamilton College in 2006 with degrees in theatre and English literature, he became a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Ryan paid his rent in New York City by taking part in stock photo shoots, after moving to the city to pursue an acting career. After landing a role on “As the World Turns” in 2007, he began working as a hand model and then decided to try real estate.
Real Estate Career
After the collapse of the mortgage industry in 2008, Serhant started his career in real estate and only earned $9,000 in his first year of work. Ryan was able to sell his $8.5 million property after another year of hard work. The Vice Chairman of State Street Global Advisors paid Ryan and Jack $1.50 an hour to collect firewood and then let them sell it to their neighbors, in order to teach Ryan and Jack the importance of hard work in 2008. Ryan launched the Serhant Team in 2012 with more than 60 employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey and the Hamptons. According to Serhant’s official website, “The Serhant Team has done over $4 billion in sales, has sold more than 80 new development projects across New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, and has broken price per square foot.” Ryan opened a real estate firm in the fall of 2020 called SERHANT, and the firm’s big sales include a $33 million Miami penthouse and a $69 million home on NYC’s Madison Avenue.
Personal Life
Ryan proposed to lawyer Bechrakis after closing Times Square for an hour in Septwmber 2014. The four-part series “Million Dollar Listing New York: Ryan’s Wedding” aired in the fall of 2016 after the couple wed in Greece.
On season seven of “Million Dollar Listing New York,” the couple shared their IVF journey with viewers, and they had a daughter, Zena, who was born on February 26, 2019.
Real Estate
Serhant paid over $7 million for a 7,670 square foot house in Brooklyn. Ryan bought the home from Jonathan Foer, and it has eight bedrooms, exposed brick, and a 26 foot-long master bedroom closet, in 2018.
