Early Life and Career Beginnings

In 1994, he played Al Capone in an episode of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” and in the same year he played Nancy in the television film “For the Love of Nancy.  In 1995 he was in three television movies, including “Falling from the Sky: Flight 174,” “Virus” and “Night Watch. A main role on the police drama series “Turks” was played by the actor who had a recurring role on the fantasy series “Early Edition”.

A number of main, recurring, and guest-starring roles were given to Devane. His credits include the sitcom “The Michael Richards Show”, the political drama “The West Wing”, and the science-fiction series “Stargate SG-1.” He had a recurring role on the short-lived ABC dramedy “What About Brian?” as well as co-starring on the short-lived sitcom “Crumbs” in 2006 and 2007. In 2015, he had a main role on the short-lived legal comedy series ” The Grinder.” His other credits include the shows “Psych,” “NCIS,” and “Revenge,” as well as the “Jesse Stone” series.

Film Career

In 1971 he appeared in five films, including “The Pursuit of Happiness,” “The 300 Year Weekend,” and “McCabe & Mrs. “My Old Man’s Place” and “Lady Liberty” were also written by Miller.  He had roles in the crime dramas “The Irish Whiskey Rebellion” and “Report to the Commissioner.” He was in two major films in 1976, “Family Plot” and “Marathon Man. Personal Life

Devane is married to Eugenie, who he wed in 1961. They had two sons, Joshua and Bill,  later who were killed in a car accident.
